About Kimberley

Home to the Kimberley Alpine Resort, three championship golf courses, the historical Kimberley Underground Mining Railway, beautiful gardens, hiking and biking trails, exhilarating white water rafting, local artisan shopping, cafes and restaurants, you are bound to find something you love in this charming little city.

Since its start in 1891 as a mining town, Kimberley BC has steadily flourished to become the exciting four-season city it is today.  Although the Sullivan Mine, the world’s largest lead-zinc mine closed down in 2001, tourists continue to flock to Kimberley to enjoy the exceptional year-round recreational opportunities.
